Painting Sojourner Place
The Authentic Home team had the fortunate opportunity to bring some color to Sojourner Place last weekend. Sojourner Place provides housing and support for homeless, economically or emotionally oppressed women in transition who are motivated to grow toward self responsible, independent living.

Their beautiful 4,500 square foot home was in need of some updating and by the determination of KC Young, Sojourner Place Director, a painting party was organized. KC believes that a beautiful home environment has a positive impact on everyone in the home. Over ten volunteers gathered to paint several rooms and hallways just in time for the holidays.
The goal for each woman who enters Sojourner Place is that she leaves with the skills she needs to live a successful and independent life. We all feel blessed that we had the opportunity to bring beauty to so many lives.
