Backyard and Garden Art
During the warm and mild months of the year we tend to spend a lot more time out in the garden and yard, so why not have that area of your home reflect your personality and passion as much as the inside of your home. Among the beautiful plants, flowers, shrubs and trees I like to set out favorite art objects, sculpture and a fountain to add texture and interest to my garden.
This is a fountain I made out of a large vase. I simply inserted a pump, found the right spot in the garden that had electrical access and Voila! a beautiful garden accent that provides a wonderful soothing sound and the all important element, water.
Near my hammock I added an art sculpture piece that a neighbor artist made and a bird feeder so I can relax and enjoy the gorgeous birds that are always present in my backyard.
A sweet little kitty sculpture that I received as a gift from a friend adds a little whimsy and makes me smile when I spot her hiding in the foliage.
Here I added a beautiful large vase and tossed in some branches, creating a simple and unique element to the yard.
Decorate, add accents and charm to your outdoor living spaces. Give your garden and yard some personality and interest, you will enjoy your time outdoors so much more when you are surrounded by the things you love.
