Living Room Transformations
This urban, three floor Town home was in need of some authenticity when I met the young couple. The bright yellow paint color was affecting their moods which led to them contacting me to select the right paint color for their lifestyle.

I selected the Authentic Home COLOR Paint ™ in Pewter for the wall paint color to bring a more contemporary, urban feel to the space. The existing draperies had colors of black, white, grey and a hint of red in the fabric so that became the inspiration for the furniture, area rugs, lighting, artwork and accessory colors.

The long, narrow, bowed shaped living room was created to have a conversation of sitting area centered in front of the fireplace and to have the dining area next to the kitchen. The couple also wanted to have a large plasma TV placed the wall and the only wall big enough to hold a TV was across from the now sitting area. After meeting the young couple and discovering their entertaining lifestyle, I immediately felt the need to flip the two spaces. Now the couple can enjoy intimate dinners in front of the fireplace and watch TV with ample room for many viewers.

This new living arrangement is the talk of the town home community as many that have experienced the space have decided to flip the two rooms as we have done.
Remember to think outside of the box and be open to new ideas when you are dealing with challenging spaces.
